Bakun Hydroelectric Project

Bakun Hydroelectric Project in Malaysia, known as the “Three Gorges Project” in Southeast Asia, has an installed capacity of 2.4 GW and a dam height of 205 m, ranking second in the world among similar projects. The reservoir has a storage capacity of 44 billion m3, greater than that of the Three Georges Project (39 billion m3). Bakun Hydroelectric Project has won the Gold Award for Overseas Projects and the title of International Milestone Rockfill Dam Project.
